About the Artist

 

Dan Zinno was born in Ohio in 1976 and grew up in Providence, R.I. He earned his BFA from Boston University before relocating to Los Angeles in 1998. After 8 years in the Southern California, the artist now works out of his home studio near Austin, TX. Zinno has exhibited his work in major cities across the country including New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and Baltimore. In March 2009, several pieces of Zinno's work was featured in the ZonePerfect live.create lounge at the SXSW festival. In April, the artist's work will be included in Create for Life, a exhibition and fundraiser presented by the Taylor Art Guild. In May, Zinno will take part in a group show of encaustic work at M Squared Gallery in Houston titled degrees°.

The artist is now working on expanding his Erosion, Unearthed, and Wax series.
